Make Your Resolutions Specific and an Arsenal Prediction
In my last episode of the Thrivapy/Roddyverse show , I discussed setting goals for 2018. One piece of that episode dealt with making your goals specific. To recap, specific means: There needs to be an element of time associated with the goal. The goal needs to be measurable. For example, a goal to lose weight does not speak to any timeline or measurable outcome. Instead, losing 36 pounds this year has both. To make the goal even more "sticky" break down the goal into more manageable parts. In this example, that might be 3 pounds per month or 1.5 pounds every 2 weeks. In my future posts, I will continue to dig deeper into goal setting. This includes the other aspects of good goals (challenging, realistic, and flexible) as well as tips for how to align your goals with your higher purpose and motivational bias.
